Hanley Wood LLC, the premier media, event, information and strategic marketing services company serving the construction industry, announced today the formation of a strategic research partnership with the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA).
The alliance was established to provide the WDMA with comprehensive data on the residential window, door and skylight market as well as the architectural door market, and the means to triangulate the industry's production and shipments with insights on the entire ecosystem. The output of the research will provide members with complete, dependable and timely intelligence to enable improved analysis and forecasting.
"We are excited to announce this new research relationship with Hanley Wood," said Michael O'Brien, President and CEO of the WDMA. He continued, "This partnership will provide us and our members with the data and information needed to understand key trends and product-specific performance along with a credible view of the future that will enable the industry to make better decisions."
"Hanley Wood is dedicated to providing industry data and market insights to our customers," said Peter Goldstone, CEO of Hanley Wood. "By combining data from WDMA and its members with the rich data from Metrostudy and perspective from Hanley Wood's broad industry audience reach, we will be able to provide window and door manufacturers and their suppliers with insights spanning the entire residential housing spectrum - and a level of granularity they can only get through this alliance."
As part of the research effort, Hanley Wood will be working with the Virginia Center for Housing Research (VCHR) at Virginia Tech to leverage VCHR's expertise in building technologies and statistical analysis.
