Members of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will vote on the next version of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) in June 2013. LEED is an internationally recognized certification system that provides third-party verification of green buildings. If approved, LEED v4 is anticipated to launch in November 2013.

AAMA 909-13, Voluntary Specification for Cycle Performance and Testing of Side-Hinged Exterior Door Multipoint Locking Hardware, establishes a minimum performance requirement and test procedure to evaluate the durability of multi-point locking door hardware.

Builders FirstSource Inc. reported its results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. First quarter 2013 sales increased 45.7 percent to $319.7 million, when compared to first quarter 2012. Adjusted EBITDA for the current quarter was $5.4 million, a $7.5 million improvement when compared to an Adjusted EBITDA loss of $2.1 million for the first quarter of 2012.
